Marjorie Anderson Thompson, 90 passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born in Tattnall County August 27, 1922 to Russell and Mary Jones Anderson and lived in Glennville all of her life. She was retired from the Department of Veterans Service as a clerical assistant, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a long-time, faithful member of Glennville United Methodist Church and Cowart Memorial Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Mary J. Anderson, and a sister. Melda A. Daughtry.
She is survived by husband of 70 years, Parker W. Thompson of Glennville
Children, Judy T. & Pete Blocker, Debby T. Burkhalter & Charles Block all of Glennville
Andy Thompson & Fiancée, Tricia Soileau of Grayson, Georgia
Brother in- law, Steve Daughtry of Townsend, Georgia
Grandchildren, Danna (Jim) Demos, Christy (Wes) Hertz, Ellen (Joey) Cowart, Heidi (Neil) Deal, Russell (Kassie) Blocker, Patrick Burkhalter, Drew (Leah) Thompson, Zach Thompson.
13 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 12, 2012 at Glennville United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery. Mrs. Thompson will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service.
