Marlene Deal

Marlene Grooms Deal, 86, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Glenvue Health and Rehab. She was born in Glennville on October 10, 1930 to Oren and Myrtle Bacon Grooms and lived in Bloomingdale for the past 60 years moving back to Glennville several years ago. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of Alpha Methodist Church in Bloomingdale and preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Clayton Deal; son, Larry Deal; and grandson, Lee Deal.

Nine grandchildren, Eight great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Darnell Barnard officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
