Martha Guy

Martha M. Guy, 60, went home to be with her Lord February 18, 2012. She was born May 5, 1951 to Ezelle and Ossie Mae Marshburn in Reidsville, GA. She attended Glennville High School and worked for the Federal Government as a civil service employee for 30 years. She enjoyed fishing, yard work, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Shellman Bluff Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Fred J. (Snorkey) Guy, her mother and father, brothers Joe Wilson and Edward Marshburn, and sister Tillie DeLoach.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Davia and Jeff Mobley of Hinesville, Scott and Sherry Guy of Cumming, GA, and Shane and Sherry Guy of Richmond Hill, GA; her sister Annette Groover, and brother Gerald Marshburn, both of Glennville, GA; sister-in-law, Corliss Stanley and brother-in-law, Guy Purvis, both of Callahan, FL; her grandchildren Sean, Chad and Amber Grimes of Richmond Hill, and Nolan Mobley of Hinesville, GA; several nieces and nephews, and her beloved golden retriever, Sam.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 21, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow in the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ed DeLoach, Richard DeLoach, Brad Lee, Harry Sikes, Danny Terrell, and Bob Whitlow. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Frog Club. Suggested memorials to a charity of your choice.
