Mary Batts

Mary Grace Batts, 88, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Candler Hospital in Savannah. The Evans County native had lived in Hagan all of her life. She was retired after 18 years from Claxton Manufacturing Company. She was a long time employee of Bill and Katherine Bowen and enjoyed cooking, sewing and reading. She is a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church and preceded in death by parents, William and Eveleana Coates Batts, son William G. Batts, Daughters, Ann Batts, and Cherry Batts Thomas.
She is survived by, son William A. Batts of Racine Wisconsin
Grandchildren, Songa Jones, Nikki Cruz (Romanuel), and James Thomas Jr., all of Stone Mountain, Georgia
3 Great Grandchildren, Ashley Small of Augusta, Georgia, Rashad Small of Statesboro, Georgia, NKarra Thompson of Stone Mountain, Georgia. 1 Great Great Grandchild, Zanaiah Terrel of Augusta, Georgia, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Hagan Cemetery.
