Mrs. Mary Eloise DeLoach Cardell

Metter- Mrs. Mary Eloise DeLoach Cardell, 91 of Metter died Monday morning at her home under the care of her loving family and Community Hospice. The Candler County native has lived most of her life in Metter was a Charter Member of Cedar Street Baptist Church, and was a member of the Mary Sunday School Class. She worked for many years in the Metter High School cafeteria and was a member of the National Food Service Association. She is predeceased by the following: husband, Russell Cardell, parents, James Loury DeLoach and Ella Jane Lanier DeLoach; and infant brother, James Loury DeLoach, Jr.

She is survived by the following: sons and daughters-in-law Ronald and Brenda Cardell; Larry and Dot Cardell; Danny and Joanna Cardell, and daughter and son-in-law Sandy and David Coursey, all of Metter. Also surviving is her sister, Ruby Reese of Savannah, eleven grandchildren, and 16 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday October 15, 2013 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Cedar Street Baptist Church.

Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 4:00pm at Cedar Street Baptist Church in Metter, with the Rev. Casey Shaw officiating. The body will lie in state from noon until time of the service at the church.

Burial will follow at the Lake Church Cemetery in Metter.

Pallbearers: J.D. Dyches, Jerry Harper, Bobby Rigdon, Bert Shackelford, Buddy Meeks and Eddy Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers: Deacons of Cedar Street Baptist Church and the Mary Sunday School Class.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Cedar Street Baptist Church Building Fund P.O. Box 555 Metter, Georgia 30439
