Mary Sue Durrence Dasher, 84, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, March 13, 2021. She was born July 18, 1936 to Carl and Martha Jo Barber Durrence and lived in this area all of her life. Mary Sue loved to help on the farm, garden, tend to her flower beds, spend time with her family and bake. She was known for her chocolate cakes. Mary Sue was a very active and loyal member of Harmony United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was on numerous committees. She spent her life serving others and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, R.L. Dasher; siblings, Edith Waters, Annette Oliver, Wynell Durrence, L.P. Durrence and Jesse Elton “Po Boy” Durrence.
She is survived by:
Children, Don Dasher (Kim) of Millen, Georgia
Dane Dasher (Sharon) of Glennville, Georgia
Laura Grafe (Brian) of Fleetwood, Pennsylvania
Siblings, Ruby Jo Durrence of Glennville, Georgia
Sally Dutton of Glennville, Georgia
Gene Durrence (Sandra) of Claxton, Georgia
Eight grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ramon Hernandez officiating.
Social distancing of six feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
Care and services are entrusted to Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia.
