Mary Ann Coleman Fluet, 78, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Camellia Health and Rehabilitation in Claxton, under the care of Pearls of Life Hospice. The Cobbtown native lived most of her life there, attending Cobbtown Baptist Church. Mary Ann loved to fish, travel, and to take care of others, especially her children and grandchildren. She spent many years working in the chicken houses, in her beauty shop, preparing taxes for locals, and lastly working as a nurse, caring for others. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Allen; Step-Son, Bruce Allen, Jr.; the father of her children, Roger Fluet; Sister, Willie Williams and her parents.
Survivors: Children: Martha Dekle (Frederick Dufel) of Brunswick, Jimmy (Donna) Fluet of Cobbtown, Sharon Fluet of Alameda, CA, Eddie (Debbie) Fluet of Claxton, Mary Ellen (Duke) Thrift of Collins, George (Felishia) Fluet of Collins, Lucy (Dean) Monroe of Metter, and David Fluet of Cobbtown; Sister: Nell (Dickie) Collins of Cobbtown; Sister-In-Law: Martha Sherman of Metter; Grandchildren: Sonya Crosby, Heather Stewart, Joey Fluet, Melanie Benson , Michelle Benson , Chris Benson, Casey Frank, Amy Frank, Rachel Frank, Kendra Sowell, Will Thrift, Lindsey Madison, Wesley Thrift, Carrie Raub, Cole Fluet, Jake Fluet, Blake Monroe, Brett Monroe, and Daniel Fluet; 23 Great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
