Mattie Bell Stafford Dutton, 80, passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. She was born in Sylvania, Georgia December 2, 1939 to W. J. and Lozzie Williams Stafford and lived in Glennville most of her life. Mattie Bell was employed with Tam Industries in Glennville as manager of the factory and retired after many years. She was a caregiver for many people in this area, a homemaker, a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Gospel Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her husband Julian “Gene” Dutton II.
She is survived by:
Son, Charles Dutton (Shelley) of Brooklet, GA
Brother, Warren Stafford of Sylvania, GA
Sister, Maudine Findley of Sylvania, GA
Grandchildren, Cheyenne, Ashton, Lily and Waylon Dutton
Special Friends, Diane and Hope Futch
Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Friday, March 6, 2020 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, March 6, 2020 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Gay officiating. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
