Merriam Blocker

M. Kenneth Blocker, 90, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Evans Memorial Hospital. He was born in Glennville April 22, 1928 to Henry Calvin and Mary Catharine Turner Blocker and lived here all of his life. He was a World War II, U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from the Georgia State Patrol as a Corporal after 30 years of service. He loved Gospel and Blue Grass Music, working on his farm fixing things and seeing things grow. He was a loving caring father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a member of Bull Creek Baptist Church and preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bland Blocker.
He is survived by, Children, Bobby Blocker and wife Karen of Glennville, GA
Jana Todd and husband Reggie of Claxton, GA
Joe Blocker and wife Karen of Darien, GA
Seven Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Ross officiating. Burial will be Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be members of Georgia State Patrol Honor Guard.
