Michael Dasher

Michael Willard Dasher, 61, of Mendes, died Tuesday morning, January 31, 2012 at his home after a long battle with cancer. Born in Reidsville, Georgia, he is the son of Betty Dasher and the late Clyde "Pender" Dasher. Mr. Dasher was a 1968 graduate of Glennville High School and a graduate of Savannah Technical College in Forestry. He was also a member of the Georgia National Guard. Mr. Dasher retired in 2005 with 27 years of civil service from Ft. Stewart, GA. Mr. Dasher was also a part time resident of Shellman Bluff, GA where he enjoyed fishing, relaxing and visiting friends. He was a member and former Board Member of the Sapelo Saltwater Fishing Club. He was also an Honorary Member of the Hughes Old River Club. Michael also enjoyed attending muscle and antique car shows and driving his 1969 SS Chevelle.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Friday, February 3, 2012 from the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Strickland and Elder Jim Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Mike Durrence, Lawrence Durham, Bobby Ware, Pat Dubberly, Mo Gill and James Weitman.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, in charge of the arrangements.
