Miles Clinton Thompson, 69, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah. He was born August 14, 1946 in Glennville to George Washington and Winnie Ola Baker Thompson and had lived in this area all of his life. He was a 1963 Graduate of Glennville High School. He was retired from the International Paper Company as a mechanic and currently worked with Bay Branch Farms. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Thompson, brothers, Adrial, Ira, Odean, and Dainton Thompson.
He is survived by:
Children, Scott Thompson (Belinda)
David Thompson (Lisa) all of Glennville, Georgia
Sisters, Eleen Williams of Jena, Louisiana
Othell Scarso of Rincon, Georgia
Companion, Rebecca Pittman and her children, Raymond Pittman, Danny Pittman,
Pearl Cribb, and Michelle Mathers
Fourteen Grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin 6:00 pm, Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Sapp officiating. Burial will follow in Glennville Memorial Gardens.
