Mrs. Barbara Davis

Mrs. Barbara Ann Bowers Davis, 74, of Metter, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Regency Southerncare Hospice.

Mrs. Davis was born on July 21, 1945 to Mr. Thomas Edward and Mrs. Bootsie Kersey Bowers in Metter. The Metter native was employed for several years at Ken’s Seafood Market in Richmond Hill. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting and fishing.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jesse Frank Davis, Sr., brother, Tommy Bowers and sister, Edna Louise Furlong.

She is survived by:

Children, Jesse Frank Davis, Jr. (Libby) of Rincon

John Edward Davis of Savannah

Julie Wright (Billy) of Metter

Cheryl Boyles (Jerry) of Savannah

Sisters, Sue Kelly (Mickey) of Pennsylvania

Pixie Smith of Savannah

11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
