Mrs. Mary Marjorie Waller Hendrix, 95, of Metter passed away Saturday morning, August 29, 2020 at The Oaks Bethany Home in Vidalia. Mrs. Hendrix was born on March 22, 1925 to Mr. Harry and Mrs. Julia Brannen Waller in Pulaski. The Candler County Native worked at Moore’s Department Store as a store clerk for many years. She was a member of Metter Freewill Baptist Church and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edenfield Hendrix, a brother, Harry Waller, Jr. and a son, Melvin Beasley.
She is survived by:
Son, Marvin Beasley (Gail) of Vidalia
Daughter-in-law, Donna Beasley of Metter
Four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a private family graveside will be held at the Lake Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Beasley officiating.
Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home of Metter is in charge of arrangements.
