Mrs. Mary Alice Smith Hubbard, 83 of Metter, passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice and surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 10, 1937 to Mr. Roy and Mrs. Ella Davis Smith in Jenkins County and lived in this area all her life. She was a homemaker, member and secretary of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church in Aline. In her spare time she enjoyed loving on her great-grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles, sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She was a loving caring, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, James Roy Smith and Ruby Smith Jones (Herman), and a daughter, Tina Hill.

Betty Josey (Allen) of Twin City
Grandchildren: Alicia Douglas (Jason), Matthew Strange (Erika),
Christina Denise Stewart (Trevor), Christopher Dale Hill (Fone), and
Jennifer Lynn Adams (Branden).
Eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Private family only visitation will be held 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home. Private family only graveside services will be conducted 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic all CDC social distancing guidelines of six feet will be encouraged and masks are required.
Pallbearers: Matthew Strange, Jason Douglas, Presley Douglas, David Gorham, Ricky Patrick, Denny Johnson and Jeff Strange.
