Myria Maulden Rogers (Moody), 83, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at her residence in the Donald Community. She was born April 30, 1936 to Charles Edwin and Annie Gordon Maulden and lived in this area most of her life. Myria was a retired district manager with Eckerd’s Drug Store and enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She loved to be outdoors, to hunt, to fish and was an impressive marksman that won every turkey shoot she attended. Myria loved and adored children and was a grandmother figure to all. She was a member of Walthourville Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ormond Maulen; sisters: Wilda Maulden, Laverne Mullis, Sallie Walling, Reba Maulden; a granddaughter, April Hamilton and husband, Truman Moody.

Myria is survived by:

Children, Vonda Garrison (Scott) of Harlem, Georgia
Brenda McGahee Sanders (Richard) of Ludowici, Georgia
Randy Colyer (Kelly) of Ft. Madison, Iowa
Lyndal Colyer (Christina) of Ft. Myers, Florida

Step-Children, Robert T. Moody of Vidalia, Georgia
Zandra Akins of Glennville, Georgia

Sixteen Grandchildren, Twenty Six Great Grandchildren, Two Great Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Sunday, February 16, 2020 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.

Care and Services are entrusted to Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home of Glennville, Georgia.
