Myron B. Boatright, 84, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Florida after a short battle with cancer and heart problems. He was born June 3, 1934 in Swainsboro, Georgia to Briton and Goy Sherrod Boatright. Myron worked in Savannah for North Brothers, then in nineteen seventy-one, he moved to Valdosta to open a branch for North Brothers as manager until he retired. Coming out of retirement he opened an office for Service Partners as manager, until he retired at age seventy-seven.
He loved his work and always gave 110%, his motto was "do well by your customers because they pay your salary".
He is survived by his wife, Evelo (Brannen) Boatright, daughter Vicki Carratt and husband Louie, daughter Jennifer Edwards and husband Doug, daughter Jane Baxter and husband Warren, grandchildren Shannon and Jamie Shontz, Shane and Michele Edwards, Leslie Baxter, and four great grandchildren. Keiston was his little Buddy.
Brother, Beman Boatright of Midville, Georgia, sisters, Wylene Lewis of Sandersville, Georgia, Dorothy Mathis of Graniteville, South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews. Myron was proceeded in death by his father Briton Boatright, mother Goy Boatright, son Cray Boatright and seven half-sisters and three half-brothers.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Glennville, GA. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 pm at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jack Seiverd officiating.
