Myrtle Lee Blocker Futch, 91, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022 at her residence under the care of Your Family Hospice. She was born February 27, 1931 in Douglas, Georgia to Vernon and Hattie Johnson Blocker and lived in this area most of her life. Myrtle Lee loved genealogy, completing puzzles, to sew and to rock on her porch. She was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Abrin E. Futch, Sr., sisters, Vera Dunham, Grace Mitchum, Eunice DuRose, brother, Carlos Blocker, grandchildren, Kevin Futch, Katrina Futch, Robert Futch, Jr., great grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Chandler Smith, Yadira Durrence, and great-great grandchild, Mayla Proman.
She is survived by:

Diane Norris of Glennville, Georgia
Leanne DeLoach of Glennville, Georgia
Ellis Futch, Jr. (Deborah) of Ludowici, Georgia
Kelvin Futch (Cathy) of Ludowici, Georgia
Michael Futch of Glennville, Georgia
Sister, Jean Gumm of Glennville, Georgia
Fifteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Anderson, Rev. Robert Long and Rev. Shaun Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.
