Mytle Hager

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Myrtle Hager, 83, of Port Orange, FL. She passed unexpectedly at Halifax Hospital on March 28, 2016, surrounded by her three children. She was born in Glennville, GA on October 30, 1932, raised there until she moved to Port Orange in 1958, when she married Richard Hager. She worked at Jack's Thriftway as a Cashier/Bookkeeper for 21 years. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family, and in her younger years boating and fishing. She also loved country music. She was predeceased by her husband Richard Hager, parents Osgood and Tempie Blocker, one sister and four brothers. She is survived by her three children, Linda Hinson, Glenda Durrence Register, and Russel Hager, all residing in Port Orange; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 08, 2016, at 4 pm at Cardwell, Baggett and Summers Funeral Home and Crematory, 3571 South Ridgewood Ave, Port Orange.
