Nina Mae McLeod, 97, passed away Monday, November 19, 2012 at Glenvue Nursing Home surrounded by her family. The Tattnall County native had lived in Glennville all of her life and was a 1935 graduate of Glennville High School. She was employed with the Empire Store for many years a farmer, homemaker and a volunteer with the Red Cross Bloodmobile. She was a longtime member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, a member of the Ladies Circle and a communion steward. She is preceded in death by husband, Warnell McLeod and a daughter, Linda McLeod Renfroe.
She is survived by, Son and daughter in law, Larry and Brenda McLeod of Glennville
Sister, Thelma Stockton of Livingston, TN.
Grandchildren, Justin & Sarah McLeod, Alison & Anthony Weitman, all of Glennville
Five Great Grandchildren, Lindsey & Amelia McLeod, Alana, Cole and Cade Weitman, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin 6:00 PM, Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Hopewell United Methodist Church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery.
