Novis Clifton

Novis Waters Clifton, of Mendes, passed away Monday, June 30, 2014 at Tanner Medical Center of Carrollton, Georgia. She was born in Mendes on July 6, 1919, daughter of the late William Waters and Winnie Tootle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick W. Clifton; daughter, Martha Ann Cook; one sister, Lucille Waters; four brothers, Jewette Waters, Marquette Waters, Robert Pete Hallman and Edwin G. Hallman; two granddaughters; one great grandchild; and one great-great grandchild.

10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 am, Thursday, July 3, 2014 at Mendes Baptist Church. Special presentation of memories will be provided by her loving survivors. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Keith Dixon officiating. Entombment will follow in Mendes Baptist Church Cemetery.
