Ottis Anderson

Ottis "Pop" Anderson Jr. 69, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Ogeechee Area Hospice inpatient Center in Statesboro. The Tattnall County native had live in this area all of his life. He served as Collins Police Chief from 1969-1974, and served as Collins Fire Chief in the early 70's. He was an Emergency Medical Technician and EMS Director for Tattnall County Emergency Medical Services from 1975-1989. He was one of the founding members of the Tattnall County Civil Defense, which later became the Tattnall County Emergency Management. He owned and operated Pop's small engine repair in Reidsville and Collins. He was also a Reserve Deputy with the Tattnall County Sheriff's Department.

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Monday, July 4, 2011 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Reidsville Chapel. Burial will follow in Anderson Church Cemetery.
