Palmer Jake Green
Daisy- Palmer Jake Green,82, of Daisy died Monday evening at St. Josephs Hospital in Savannah. He was the son of Viola Kicklighter Green and Ezra William Green. He worked for 44 years at Union Camp now known as International Paper, 2 of those years he fought for his country in the Korean War with the United States Army. He enjoyed talking on his C.B. radio, and was known as the Georgia Blue Bird. He is preceded in death by his parents, son Palmer Jeffrey Green, brother E.W. Green; and his sisters Mary Effie Collins, Christine Rich, Mildred Lamb, Daisy Outler, and Grace Pittman.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years Luveda Whitten Greeen, daughters Estralita Edwards of Claxton, Lowanza Stone of Ellabell, ans Letitia Collins of Savannah; son Arthur Dwyane Green of Brooklet. He is also survived by his sister Rosa Lee Coursey of Bloomingdale, 13 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11am, Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Sunlight Cemetery in Cobbtown, with the Rev. David Donnan officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Home Cobbtown Chapel.
