Patsy Durrence Flowers, 79, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at Community Hospice Inpatient Center in Vidalia, Georgia. She was born December 28, 1942 in Glennville, Georgia to Kellis and Estelle Stanfield Durrence. Patsy lived a military Life following her husband all over the world while he served his country in Germany, Vietnam and Kansas. After retirement they moved to Richmond Hill, Georgia in 1991 and after the death of her husband, in 2020, Patsy moved in with her son and daughter-in-law in Glenwood. She loved to paint, garden and provide for her family. Patsy was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 60 years, Lt. Col. Ret. Jack L. Flowers, infant son, David and infant grandson, John Wesley.
She is survived by:
Sons, Jack D. Flowers (Marsha) of Leveanworth, Kansas
John L. Flowers (Leah) of Glenwood, Georgia
Sister, Elizabeth Mixon (Grady) of Vidalia, Georgia
Four grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
