Peggy Blanchard

Peggy J. Dyke Blanchard, 61, passed away Friday, April 23, 2010 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends. She was born September 1, 1948 to Durward and Leona Mae Dyke in Blossburg, Pennsylvania. She and her family moved from Wellsboro PA. To Glennville in 1985 and she retired from Rotary Corporation in 2008. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; she loved writing recipes, letters and cards to family and friends and caring for her cat Midnight. She was a member and loved her church Little Rock Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by, her parents, Durward and Leona Mae Dyke, sisters, Mary Spencer, Florence Dyke, brothers, Colie Dyke, Durward Dyke Jr. Robert Dyke.
She is survived by, Husband of 33 years, James A. "Jim" Blanchard of Glennville
Sons and Daughter in law, Jamie and Lindy Blanchard of Glennville
Carl Merrick of Hinesville, Jeff Merrick of Savannah
Adopted daughter, Jennifer Robb of Glennville
Sisters, Frances Jayne of Mansfield, PA., Patricia Gerow of Morris Run, PA.
Grandchildren, Jamie Blanchard II, Alex Dean, Elizabeth Manly, Kaitlyn Dean, William Manly, Robert Blanchard, Brandon Blanchard, Sebastian Merrick, Ian Merrick, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 6:00 PM, Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held, 6:00 PM, Monday, April 26, 2010 at Little Rock Baptist Church.
The Body will be taken to the Church to lie in state from 5:00 until 6:00 PM
Additional services and burial will be held in Mansfield PA. at a later date.
