Ray Dean Bragg, 61, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at his sister's residence in Millen, Georgia after a short battle with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and son.

Ray was born October 31, 1963, in Jenkins County to Judson and Wynette Bragg. Growing up in Sylvania, he worked and helped take care of the family farm. Ray was a 1983 graduate of Sylvania High School. 

Ray moved to Glennville, Georgia after marrying the love of his life Sarah Stanfield Bragg where they built a life together and raised their children. He was a logger and mechanic and was employed with Wilson Brother's Timber for many years.  

Ray is preceded in death by his father, Judson Bragg, Sr., wife, Sarah Bragg, grandparents, Myrtice Lariscy, J.T. and Evelyn Bragg, sister, Billie Bolton.

He is survived by:

Casey Bragg (Brittany) of Glennville, Georgia
Corey Bragg of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Amelia and Emerson Bragg

Mother, Wynette Bragg of Sylvania, Georgia

Siblings, Willene Dickey (Randy) of Sylvania, Georgia
Joyce Hendley of Millen, Georgia
Judson Bragg Jr of Portal, Georgia
James Bragg of Sylvania, Georgia
Toby Bragg (Nikki) of Sylvania, Georgia

Sisters-in-law, Marlene Bragg of Sylvania, Georgia
Martha Cranford of Glennville, Georgia

Brother-in-law, Jeff Stanfield of Glennville, Georgia

Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. 

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 12:00 noon from the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
