Ray Dekle

Metter- Ray Trapnell Dekle 80 died Saturday August 21, 2010. The life long resident of Metter was a member of the Metter Primitive Baptist Church, a graduate of the Universty of Georgia with a degree in Home Economics and a Masters in Math from Georgia Southern Universty. Mrs. Dekle was retired from the Candler County School Sshool System where she was teacher of the year several time and selected as Star Teacher one year in the math department. Her hobbies were playing bridge, reading and following The Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors; Husband, Kennedy Dekle of Metter, Daughters, Cheryl (Ollie) of Savannah, Karen (John) Goggans of Hamilton AL., Sister, Sandra Chestnut of Columbia S.C. 2 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Funeral services will be 10:00 Tuesday at the Metter Primitive Baptist Church with burial in the Lake Cemetery, visitation will be Monday 6-8 in the chapel .
