Reba Waters

Reba Kicklighter Waters, 87, went home to be with Jesus on January 23, 2016, surrounded by her family, under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice and a special nurse friend Diane Roberts. She was born August 1, 1928 to Marvin and Maggie Mae Kicklighter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, caretaker, and teacher of God's word. Reba married Prentice Waters on January 1, 1948, raised four children, then attended Swainsboro Tech to purse a nursing degree and had a career of 22 years at Glenvue Nursing Home. She then devoted many years to her church, Harmony United Methodist Church, where she taught the Anchor Sunday School Class. She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 68 years, Prentice Waters, a grandson Andrew Paul Waters, and a sister, Martha K. Holcomb.
She is survived by, Children, John (Mary Ann) Waters, Michaellyn Waters, Rebecca Bland, Paul Waters all of Glennville; Grandchildren, Wesley (Amanda) Waters, Amanda (Chris) Little, Michael Jones, Sarah Murray, Jordan (Janae) Waters, Rachael (Heath) Harrelson, and Jonathan Bland; Great Grandchildren, Ashlyn, Addison, & Weston Waters, Laylah & Quinn Murray, Matthew Waters, Brooklyn Waters, Amiyah Durrence, Olivia, Elijah, & Isiah Harrelson, and J'Lyn Bland; Brothers, Lyndon ( June) Kicklighter, Derrell (Virginia) Kicklighter; Sisters, Frankie (George) Hosea and Mary Wray; Brother-in-law, Beach Waters; Sisters-in-law, Katha (Jimmy) Driggers, Pat Brown, Wanda (Earl) Phillips, Deb Waters, and Gwen Waters and a host of extended family. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 1:30 pm, Monday, January 25, 2016 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Graveside Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Monday at Harmony United Methodist Church Cemetery.
