Remer Purvis

Remer Theus Purvis, 80, had his home going Friday Morning, September 09, 2011 at Ogeechee Area Hospice inpatient center in Statesboro. He was born in Glennville March 14, 1931 to Remer and Fannie Kicklighter Purvis. He was a Farmer, School Bus Driver for Tattnall County School System for 36 years. He was a lifelong devoted member of Mendes Baptist Church where he served as deacon, chairman of board of deacons, secretary of the church, Sunday School Superintendent, song leader and a devoted worker for the church. He loved to hunt and fish.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a wife, Martha Kennedy Purvis, Sisters, Mattie Kate Purvis, Doris Strickland, Lee Ila Purvis, Brothers, LeRoy and Truett Purvis.

He is survived by, Wife, Gloria Purvis of Glennville.

Children, Randy and Kim Purvis of Glennville
Pennie and Eddie Rewis of Reidsville

Brother, Carol and Brenda Purvis of Glennville

Sister, Betty Thomas of Savannah

Grandchildren, Josh, Russell and Misti Rewis, & Mallory and Kristen Purvis

Several nieces and nephews also survive.
