Richard Talbot

August 9, 1938 — July 29, 2012

Richard "Dick" Talbot 73 passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at Optim Medical Center in Reidsville. The Washington DC, native had lived in Reidsville for the past 40 years and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was employed with Page Air Craft for several years before moving to Reidsville. After moving to Reidsville he and his wife went into business first with western wear and horse equipment later in the wholesale floral business which he still operated until his illness made him retire. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and grandchildren. He was a member of Reidsville Church of God.

He is survived by, Wife of 40 years, Peggy Talbot of Reidsville

Children, David (Tammy) Talbot of Reidsville
Amanda (Tommy) O'Neal of Vidalia
Edwina (Rodney) Creech of Barnwell, SC

Stepson, Richard Amerson of Barnwell, SC

Mother, Marjorie Talbot of Branford Connecticut

Sister, Linda (Bob) McCutchion of Branford Connecticut

Grandchildren, Dylan & Dawson Talbot, Scott Hutto, Amber Spikes, Ryan & Rod Creech

Great Grandchildren, Alexis, Brody, Jaylie, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin 6:00 PM, Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home in Reidsville.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Reidsville Church of God. Burial will be in Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville will military honors. The body will be taken to the church one hour prior the service to lie in state.
