Ricky D. Bland, 59, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. He was born November 10, 1962 to Tully and Georgia Bell Daughtry Bland and lived here all of his life. Ricky was a 1980 Glennville High School graduate and was Vice President of his class. He was employed with Claxton Poultry for 28 years and loved his family dearly. Ricky had a love for hunting, baseball, fishing, cutting grass, working on tractors with his brother and being outdoors. He was a member of Wildcat Bay Hunting Club, Tombstone Hunting Club and First United Pentecostal Church of Glennville. Ricky’s larger than life personality would light up a room and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sonya Bland and sister, Shava Jean Durrence.

Eli Bland all of Glennville, Georgia
Siblings, Maurice Bland (Joyce) of Broxton, Georgia
Joanne Barrow of Springfield, Georgia
Leah Burkhalter of Glennville, Georgia
One Grandson, Chase Bland, Numerous Nieces and Nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at First United Pentecostal Church of Glennville. Burial will be private.
