Robert Jones

Robert Lester Jones, 82, died Friday, August 27, 2010 in Statesboro at Ogeechee Area Hospice. The native and life long resident of the Excelsior Community was a member of the Lake Primitive Baptist Church for over 64 years and a deacon for many years. Mr. Robert was a retired farmer having received many awards for his farming knowledge and endeavors including the Candler County Farm Family in 1999. He was also the youngest and the last of 11 children.

Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Carolyn B. Jones, Mike (Rosemary) Jones, Daughter, Marcia (Tommy) Rigdon all of the Excelsior Community. Grandchildren, Rob Jones, Brittany Jones, Kristan Rigdon, Hartt Rigdon, Jeff (Miranda) Rigdon, Great Grandchildren, Flynt, Thomas, and Lauren Rigdon.
