Robert "Bob" Livingston Smith


Cobbtown- Mr. Robert "Bob" Smith 71, of Cobbtown died Monday evening at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. He has lived in Cobbtown for the last 19 years coming from Jacksonville, Florida. He was a member of Cobbtown United Methodist Church. He was a retired truck driver for Claxton Poultry. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and was a member of the Roger Wood Masonic Lodge F&AM #438 in Cobbtown. He is predeceased by his parents and 1 brother.

Mr. Smith is survived by the following: wife Frieda Ann Nerreter Smith of Cobbtown, son David (Melanie) Smith of Cobbtown, daughters Marti (Lester) Gordon of Cobbtown, Faith (Larry) Motes, and Robann (Jimmy) Koenig, all of Jacksonville, FL; sister Dorothy (Jarrell) Smith of Statesboro. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday December 11, 2013 from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Cobbtown Chapel.

A memorial service with full Masonic Rites will be conducted Thursday December 12, 2013, 11:00am at Cobbtown United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joey Holloway, and Rev. Sandra Conley officiating.

Interment will be private at a later time.
