Robert "Bob" Clinton Whitlow, a cherished member of the Shellman Bluff community, passed away at his residence on February 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 11, 1951, in Savannah, Georgia, to XL and Nell Curry Whitlow, Bob lived in Glennville until moving to Shellman Bluff in 2000.

Bob led a life marked by service, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends.

A proud graduate of Glennville High School in 1969, Bob devoted many years to his career in the auto parts industry. He owned and operated Bob's Auto Parts from 1985 to 2000 and co-owned Bryan Auto Parts. Additionally, he contributed significantly to his family's construction business, where his reliable and dependable nature earned him great respect.

A devoted member of the Philadelphia Lodge #73, Bob served as secretary and held the title of Past Master twice, contributing 37 years of dedicated service from 1986 to 2022. His commitment to the Masonic community was evident in his involvement as a 33rd Degree Mason and as Vice Chairman for the Masonic Home of Georgia until he achieved emeritus status. Bob was also an active member of the Sapelo Saltwater Fishing Club and took pride in serving as President of the Sapelo Woods Association.

Beyond his professional achievements Bob enjoyed a rich personal life filled with meaningful friendships and memorable experiences. He delighted in riding and visiting with friends at Shellman Bluff, embracing the joys of camaraderie and the beauty of the Bluff.

Bob was a man of great character, known for his kindness, giving spirit, and remarkable sense of humor. He embodied the qualities of a true friend and remained a dependable figure in the lives of those who knew him.

Bob's proudest accomplishment was undoubtedly his family, with whom he shared a deep love and affection. He is remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Great Nephews & Niece, Jordan Whitlow, Harper, Henry and Sam Melnick

Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Brannen Family Funeral Services. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 pm, at   the chapel of Brannen Family Funeral Services with Masonic Rites.
