Robert "Bob" Bowen

Robert “Bob” J. Bowen, 82 passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at The Griffin House in Claxton. He was born July 19, 1937 to Lawton and Almana Brannen Bowen and lived in this area all of his life. Bob was retired from civil service at Ft. Stewart and was owner/operator of B&B Appliance Service in Glennville for many years. He loved to be outdoors, to fish, and to be with his family. Bob was a member of Mendes Baptist Church and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janie Bowen; brothers, Gerald Bowen, Glenn Bowen; sister, Reba Daniel and son, Greg Bowen.

He is survived by:

Sons, Bobby Bowen (Karen) of Glennville
Billy Bowen (Traci) of Brooklet

Sister, Wanda B. Daniels of Savannah

Grandchildren, Brooke Willis (Myles), Whitney Stanfield, Jessica Bowen,
Haley Bowen, Shelby Bowen, Summer Bowen, Duston Bowen,
Anna Bowen, Seth Waters, Maggie Bowen

Five great grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.

Visitation will begin 12:30 pm, Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will be in Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
