Claxton- Ronnie Myers, Jr. 66 of Claxton died Tuesday night at Ogeechee Area Hospice in Statesboro. The Tattnall County native lived in Candler County 30 years before moving to Reidsville, he had been residing in Claxton for the last year and a half. He was a retired painter, and had a love for collecting guns, small engine repair, tending to his flock of chickens, and enjoying strawberry milkshakes. He was of the Pentecostal Baptist Faith. He is predeceased by his parents, and wife Alma Tucker Myers.

He is survived by the following children: Angela(Jimmy Boatright) Myers of Collins, Samantha(Sam Mae) Tapley of Claxton, Ronnie (Mary Beth) Myers III of Collins, Tina Myers of Brooklet, Donnie (Portia) Myers of Claxton; Brother Bobby Rewis of Metter. He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Monday July 29, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter chapel. Graveside Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at Brewton Cemetery in Claxton, with the Rev. Andrew Nelms officiating.

Pallbearers: Stacey Boatright, Dusty Boatright, Donnie Myers, Jr., Cody Boatright, Tony Googe, Dylan Lee, and T.J. Griffin.
