Roy Eby

Roy Daniel Eby, 92, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Miami, Florida native had lived in Florida most of his life moving to Georgia in 2004. He was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran and retired from the beef meat industry as a broker after many years. He owned A-1 King Sandwich Company and was an avid woodworker, loved to work in his garden and watch things grow. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hazel Murphy Eby, a son, Daniel Eby, his parents, two brothers and one sister.
He is survived by, Children, Thomas (Marcia) Eby of Vero Beach, FL
Carolyn (David) Summerford of Glennville, GA
Daughter in Law, Karen Eby of Albany, GA
Brother, Howard Eby of Rock Point, FL
Eight Grandchildren, Twelve Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Saturday, at Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors.
