Roy Dillion Woods, 84 passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Optim Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1931 in Collins, Georgia to Rowey and Lula Hackle Woods and lived in this area most of his life. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the U.S. Army with over 20 years of service where he served in Korea and Vietnam and was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal. He was retired from the Georgia State Prison and Department of Transportation Maintenance Division in Glennville. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. He was a long time member of American Legion Post #95 and avid supporter of Glennville Boosters Club. He is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Peggy Woods; son, Robbie Woods; sisters, Lucy Key, Martha Jean Whatley, Alice Trent and brother, Johnny Woods.

Visitation will begin 5:30 pm, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 pm, Tuesday afternoon at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Burial will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Stoney Hill Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
