Ruth Blocker

Ruth Stubbs Blocker, 83, gained her Heavenly reward Monday, August 06, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was born October 7, 1934 in Glennville to Martin Foy and Myrtice Odom Stubbs and lived in Glennville all of her life. She was employed as a seamstress in the Textile Industry for many years and with the Tattnall County Board of Education at Glennville Elementary and Reidsville Elementary Schools in the day care centers. She was a loving caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a member of Birdford Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin O. "Bud" Blocker and brother, Derrell E. Stubbs.

Nine Grandchildren, Twenty Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great Grandchildren, several

Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Yarbrough, Rev. Daniel Harris and Rev. Jason Summers officiating. Burial will be in Birdford Baptist Church Cemetery.
