Ruth Donaldson

Ruth Venegas Donaldson, 80, died Tuesday at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. Born in Managua, Nicaragua, she was of Catholic faith and enjoyed sewing, reading and crocheting. She earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration and worked as a Management Analyst at Fort Gordon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Donaldson and her parents Ruben and Blanca Venegas.

She is survived by daughters: Ruth A. Donaldson of Woodbridge, VA., Sandra E. Parson of Augusta, GA., Becky (Vaughn) Drawdy of Zebulon, GA. and Sallie Donaldson of Matthews, GA., Sister: Esperanza Duque of Davenport, IA, Grandchildren: Jonathan Drawdy, Emma Parson, Cassa Drawdy. Great grandchildren: Annelyse and Arizona Drawdy.

Visitation will be 12-1:30pm, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes Metter Chapel.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday, 2pm at Rosemary Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Vaughn Drawdy officiating.
