Ruth Geiger

Ruth Odom Geiger, 91, passed away Monday, October 25, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of GHC Hospice. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Ludowici. Ruth was a loving matriarch to her family and loved having her family together enjoying the delicious meals she prepared. She was a blessing to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and a true Proverbs 31 woman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Toy Geiger, her daughter, Barbara Hutcheson, grandson, Lance Geiger, and great-granddaughter, Ashleah Hall.

She is survived by: daughter, Kim Hall (Freddie) of Ludowici; sons, Tommy Geiger (Barbara), Gary “Knott” Geiger all of Glennville; son-in-law, Lonnie Hutcheson (Linda) of Reidsville; sister, Betty Dasher of Glennville. Five grandchildren: Rusty Hutcheson (Laurie), Blaine Geiger (Kim), Tyler Hall (Elizabeth), Michael Hall and Melissa Garrason (David); Seven great grandchildren, Easton Hall, Alyssa Lindbom, Kinsley and Emma Hutcheson, Kailyn and Parker Hall, Jessica Garrason, Elizabeth and Jonas Geiger. Special Caregivers: Lawanna Dubberly, Penny Purvis, Ellen Bolen, Robin Stanfield, and Samantha Harris.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Reidsville City Cemetery.

The family extends a special “thank you” to GHC Hospice for the loved and kindness to our precious mother. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made in memory of Ruth to: GHC Foundation, P.O. Box 15665, Savannah, Georgia 31416.

Social distancing of three feet due to Covid 19 will be enforced and masks are asked to be worn on all services.
