Ruth Sands

Ruth Allen Sands, 87, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Glenvue Health and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice. She was born September 14, 1927 in Helena, Georgia to James S. and Alline Ouzts Allen and lived in this area most of her life. She and her husband owned and operated Sands Pecan Company. She was employed at Rotary Corporation for many years, a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Ebenezer Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Sands.

Sharon (Martin) O'Donnell all of Glennville, GA
Sisters, Sarah Whatley of Murfreesboro, TN
Edna Folsom of Glennville, GA.
Grandchildren, Robbie (Cindy) Block, Kylie (David) Tucker, Tracy (Al) Danner, Tammy (David) DeLoach, Seven Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive
Visitation will begin 12:00 noon, Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 pm, Sunday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Cason officiating. Burial will be in Glennville City Cemetery.
