Sarah Sikes

After a long illness, Sarah Louise “Lucy” Futch Sikes, 80, a native of Glennville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2020. She was one of eight children, born to the late Millard and Sarah Futch of Ludowici, Georgia. She married Billy Sikes on June 17, 1962; they were married 58 years. She worked many years outside of the home. She was a member of Harmony United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, country music and porch sitting with family and friends. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Allen Sikes; grandson, Ben Sikes; brothers, M.F. Futch, Jack Futch, Tommy Futch, Harry Futch; sisters, Elosie Dasher (Clinton), and Francis Chambless (Sonny).

Survivors include: Husband, Billy Sikes of Glennville, Georgia; Daughter, Larenda Dasher of Glennville, Georgia; Grandchilren, Troy Sikes, Nicky Sikes, Logan Bland, Jackson Dasher and Hannah Dasher all of Glennville, Georgia; Great-Grandchildren: Lawson Knight, Will Sikes, Hudson and Haven Sikes; Brother: Edd Futch (Sybil) of Glennville; Sisters-in-law: Jennie Futch of Townsend, Georgia, Wanda Futch of Ludowici, Georgia, Glenda Futch of Glennville, Georgia and Wanda Futch of Ludowici, Georgia; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive.

Graveside Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Glennville Memorial Gardens.
