Shera Knight

Shera Rogers Knight, 73, passed away Friday, December 9, 2022 at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia surrounded by her loved ones. She was born November 11, 1949 to Carlton and Ola Mae Rogers and lived in Glennville all of her life. She was a 1967 Graduate of Glennville High School and retired from a Civil Service job at Winn Army Community Hospital at Fort Stewart. She was a loving wife and mother and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Shera also loved her church family and was a faithful member and Pastor’s wife for many years. She had a servant’s heart and was always willing to help anywhere needed a Calvary Baptist Church in Glennville. She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Peggy Wells Drury and a brother in-law Clifford (Cliff) Drury.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jerry D. Knight of Glennville, Georgia

Daughter, Carla Rush (Steve) of Glennville, Georgia

Sons, Mark Brewton (Cheryl) of Glennville, Georgia

Alan Knight (Kim) of Glennville, Georgia

Brother, Dan Rogers (Vicky) of Glennville, Georgia

Grandchildren, Ansley Rodriguez (Samuel), Caleb Rush (Sarah), Taylor Knight, Peyton Knight, Garrett Simmons (Jenny), Logan Simmons (Alexis), Lawton and Ledger Brewton. Four great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Bryan Anderson and Rev. Logan Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in the Glennville City Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Caleb Rush, Peyton Knight, Samuel Rodriguez, Logan Simmons, Garrett Simmons, Brad Rogers, Eric Durrence, Dana Hammock, Lawton Brewton and Ledger Brewton.
