Ms. Sherry Nell Durden

Aline- Ms. Sherry Nell Durden 54, of Aline died Sunday evening at the home of her caregiver Loran Calloway in Metter. She was a lifelong resident of Aline; and was a member of Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church. She was a homemaker having brought up her 3 boys, and also was known for sitting with and caring for the elderly. She is predeceased by her parents R.E. Durden, Sr., and Oletta "Toby" Kersey Durden; 2 brothers Aubrey and Larry Wilds.

She is survived by the following: sons Adam West Durrence of Claxton, Scott James Durrence of Aline, and David Cooper Bowen of Aline. Sisters Susie (Ralph) Akridge of Swainsboro, Gail Williams of Athens, Brothers R.E. "Smutty" Durden, Jr. of Aline and Bill (Sherri) Collins of Vidalia. Also surviving is 1 grandson Dakota Wilkes of Pembroke.

A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday December 10, 2013 2:00pm at Mt. Olive Primitive Baptist Church, with the Elder Wayne Fennell officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service.
