Shirley Hodges Marshburn, 72, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Bethany Hospice. She was born September 3, 1947 to William and Marion Walling Hodges and lived in Pembroke, Claxton and Glennville most of her life. She was retired from the Tattnall County Board of Education as a bus driver after 21 years. She was a homemaker, loving caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a member of Northside Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Patricia Wilson, brother, Johnny Hodges.

She is survived by;

Husband, Gerald Marshburn of Glennville, GA

Son, Larry Thompson of Claxton, GA

Sister, Betty Baker of Claxton, GA

Brother, Henry Hodges both of Claxton, GA

Nine Grandchildren, one great grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive

Funeral Services will be held at the Graveside Friday, April 17, 2020 11:00 AM, at Brewton Cemetery in Claxton.

In Compliance with CDC, and DPH Guidance the 6 Foot Rule will be enforced at the Graveside.
