Tammy D. Blackburn
Metter- Tammy D. Blackburn 53, of Metter died Thursday evening at Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. She was a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and has lived in Metter for the last 22 years. She attended Anchor Worship Center in Metter. She enjoyed working on arts and crafts, and truly enjoyed playing mahjong on the computer. She is predeceased by her father Sam Pressley, and step father Walter Horton.
She is survived by her husband James "Jay" Blackburn of Metter, daughters Renee (Kenny) Holloway of Metter, Brandi (John) Gresham of Helena, and Aleshia (Joshua) Shields of Georgetown, Illinois. Also surviving are her mother Patricia Horton of Metter, and sisters, Pam (Doug) Pressley Sikes of Metter, Tonya Collins of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brothers Allen (Debbie)Horton and Darrell Horton all of Virginia Beach,Virginia, Craig Horton of Hilton, Virginia; Quentin Horton and Waylon (Marie) Horton both of Metter; and Shawn (Renee) Pressley of Kingsport, Tennessee. She is also survived by her grandchildren Dylan Fulmer, Justin Fulmer, Zachary Fulmer, Brooklyn Holloway, Nathan Holloway, Emmi Mae Gresham, and Corey Shields; and her beloved pets Sparky and Hercules.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday February 6, 2015 at 6:30pm from the Metter Chapel of Kennedy-Brannen Funeral Homes with the Rev. Jesse Goodman officiating.
