Thelma Collins

Metter Thelma Howell Collins, 66, died Monday morning at Candler County Hospital. She was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Metter for 32 years. She was employed with Cooper Wiss for many years. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and loved crossword puzzles, fishing, sewing, spending time with her family and pets Flossy and Molly.

She was predeceased by her parents Buford and Claudia Howell, sister, Dorothy Chester. Survivors: Husband, William D. Collins, Sons, Reggie Hodges, Neil Hodges, Tony Collins, Troy (Serina) Collins, Daughter, Tennille (Travis) Hendley. Grandchildren, Aaron Hodges, Branden Hodges, Lee Hodges, Tabitha Hodges, Austin Hendley, Gabbi Collins, Charity Collins. Great Grandson, Anthony Hodges. Nephew, Dale (Karen) Chester, Niece, Kaye Spears. Brother and Sisters-In-Laws, Bobby and Luree Hendrix, Edward and Joyce Collins. Special friends, James and Debbie Kight, Harry and Connie Gardner.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 16, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Rev. Michael Holt officiating. Burial will follow at the Lake Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2011 6-8 p.m. at Kennedy-Morgan-Brannen Funeral Homes, Metter Chapel.
