Toby Scott Wilson, 48, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024. He has been a Glennville resident all of his life where he was born on April 24, 1975 to Randy and Debra Wilson. He was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist church and currently attended Mendes Baptist Church.
Toby was a 1993 graduate of Glennville High School where he enjoyed being part of the tennis team and other social clubs. He then attended Georgia Southern University where he studied forestry. Toby was a 5th generation logger where he continued his love and passion for forestry, timber, and logging by working with his father, son, and uncles running their family’s business, Wilson Brothers Incorporated. He was a member of Master Timber Harvester for many years. He was a producer for many timber companies Georgia Pacific, Rayonier, Weyerhaeuser, and Interstate Paper Company.
Toby enjoyed fishing, playing tennis, any outdoor activities, quality time with his family, especially his new grandson, Toby Scott Wilson, III “Tripp.”
Toby is preceded in death by his grandparents, John Emmitt Wilson, Madeira Pelletier, and Clyde and Betty Dasher.
He is survived by his loving father and mother, Randy and Debra Wilson; his sons he was most proud of, Toby Scott Wilson, Jr. (Emma) and Elliot Wilson. His precious grandson, Toby Scott Wilson, III “Tripp”; his caring sister Brooke Wilson McMillen (Jesse); adoring nephew and niece, Davis and Annie McMillen; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be held at Brannen Family Funeral Services in Glennville, Ga on April 6, 2024. Visitation begins at 10:00 am and Funeral Services begin at 11:00 am. with Elder Clay Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Love’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
