Vera Donaldson

Lucile McGowan Donaldson 87 of Twin City, Ga died Friday, April 1, 2011 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was born in Emanuel County, the daughter of John Willie and Ethel Akins McGowan. Lucile was a loving mother, grandmother and the oldest member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James E. Donaldson, brothers, Wilmer, Delma, Robert Lewis and John Edwin McGowan.

Survivors: Sons, William (Carol) Donaldson, Jim (Heather) Donaldson both of Metter, Mark (Cindy) Donaldson of Swanne, Daughters, Virginia (Raybon) Lord of Sycamore, Bette (Jerry) Wilcher of Macon, Debra (Neal) Scott of Atlanta, Brother, George (Ann) McGowan of Metter, In - Laws, Ruth D. Watson, Lewis (Jenene) Donaldson, Peggy McGowan, Virginia McGowan, Henrietta Rogers and Betty McGowan, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 3:00 Sunday at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church with the body to lie in state one hour before the service, burial will be in the church cemetery.
