Vera Putnam

Vera Brown Putnam, 90, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015 at Glenvue Health and Rehab. She was born in Glennville May 10, 1925 to Jimmy and Alma Brown. She lived in Miami, Florida for many years moving back to Glennville in 1962. She and her family operated the Pat Theater in Glennville and Stewart Drive-In Theater in Hinesville for many years. She was a member of Watermelon Creek Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Putnam; daughter, Dian Putnam; and son, Jimmy Putnam.
Survivors include:
Children:Sharon (Edger) Carter of Brunswick
Richard (Jane) Putnam of Warner Robbins
Seven Grandchildren, ten Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Graveside funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at Watermelon Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Steve Miller officiating.
Pallbearers: Chad Putnam, Larry Moody, Tom Crawford, Jody Carter, Brian Herrington, Jody Carter Jr.
Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home, Glennville Chapel, in charge of the arrangements.
